March 5, 2013 was another red letter day in my life.
My third book, An Affair With Indian Highways, was released at Ranjangaon, Pune at the newly set up car stock yard for Fiat India Automobiles and managed by Mercurio Pallia Logistics.
Mr Bob DeCrick, Head of Supply Chain for Fiat Chrysler APAC, on a visit to India from Shanghai, China along with Mr Gurpratap Boparai, CEO, Fiat India Automobiles Ltd, Mr Christophe Pointreneau, Director, Gefco China and Director of Mercurio Pallia Logistics and Mr Vipul Nanda, CMD, Mercurio Pallia Logistics released the book soon after inaugurating the 2,000 capacity, 12 acre remote car yard for exclusive use of Fiat India Automobiles.
Bob, who had read my earlier works, 10,000 Km on Indian Highways, was full of enthusiasm and wanting to know more about my travel & travails on road trip.
It was a great feeling when Bob requested me to 'autograph' his copy of my book!
Mr Vipul Nanda (extreme left in the above pix) is a Godsent angle for me. It was him who organised the launch of my maiden book 10,000 Km on Indian Highways way back in November 2011 at the time of celebrating his parent company Pallia Transport's Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
Now again, at the inauguration of his state of the art stock yard in Pune, for Fiat group, he ensured yet another book of mine was also released.

Three years. Three books. 21,000 KM on Indian highways in indian trucks.
The journey has not ended.
More trips on trucks is not ruled out.
Meanwhile, am embarking on an action plan because I believe action is warranted more than 'writing' and 'highlighting the plight of Indian truck drivers'.
